Anonymous Tip Line

The anonymous Crime Line is a program that offers citizens a safe, secure, and totally anonymous way to help their police in solving crimes, seizing illegal drugs, recovering stolen property, and putting criminals behind bars. We need your help.

How the Crime Line Works

Persons with information about a crime, or the whereabouts of a wanted criminal, call the 24-hour anonymous Crime Line, at 706-236-5000. This line is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through E-911 Dispatch.

How to Submit a Tip

If you wish to help the Rome Police Department, Floyd County Police Department, or Floyd County Sheriff's Office solve crimes - while remaining anonymous - there are two methods to choose from:

  1. You may call our 24-hour, confidential Crime Line at 706-236-5000. This phone line is not traced, recorded, or caller ID used. You do not give your name, just your information.
  2. You may leave your anonymous tip in the space provided below. This information is electronically sent to the City of Rome Police Department, then forwarded to the correct department. No email user name or ISP identification is received by the police. Your tip is just as anonymous as a phone call.
